We finally arrived! That was a very long and tiring trip. Good thing the coordinators from UMSU warmly welcomed us and offered us a ride home. The weather here is hotter than in the Philippines but everything else is very similar – the people, the language, the infrastructures. I would probably think these people are Filipinos if they weren’t talking in a foreign language. On our way home, we stopped over an eatery and ate our dinner there. The first meal I had was very delicious! It was a little spicy, but for me “a bit spicy” is “VERY SPICY”. I want to finish the meal so badly but Ma’am Yayuk already ordered plain rice for me noticing I can’t have one more spoonful of it. We had a lovely time talking about ourselves for us to know each other better and laughing over me and Ally who can’t eat spicy foods.
We spent the next hour travelling to our dormitories. As I look around, I can notice that even the environment is very similar at home. There’s even a part of the trip that I thought I was in Mindanao Avenue. Their expressway is very much alike back at PH, the only difference is they drive on the left side of the lane since they are right-side driving. When we arrived, they made sure we get to buy sim cards for us to contact our parents that we have arrived safely. We, then, went to our designated rooms and rest the night away.
